home in that rock:
Traditional Arranged by Dan Zanes; Sister Barbara Music ASCAP
Colin plays drums. Barbara sings. George plays upright bass. DZ sings and plays guitar, tenor banjo, and harmonica.
I think learned this in a book of Sing Out magazine reprints, always a great source of material. Like so many of these tunes, this one has unlimited social possibilities. Is there ever a time this wouldn't be fun to sing? I don't think so.

lyrics:
I've got a home in that Rock, don't you see?
I've got a home in that Rock, don't you see?
Up above the sea and sky I thought I heard my Savior cry
I've got a home in that Rock, don't you see?
Poor man Lazarus, poor as I, don't you see?...
Poor man Lazarus, poor as I, when he died he had a home on high
He had a home in that Rock, don't you see?
Rich man died, he lived so well, don't you see?...
Rich man died, he lived so well, but when he died he had a home in hell
No home in that Rock, don't you see?
God gave Noah the rainbow sign, don't you see?...
God gave Noah the rainbow sign, no more water but the fire next time
He had a home in that Rock, don't you see?
I've got a home in that Rock, don't you see?...
Up above the sea and sky I thought I heard my Savior cry
I've got a home in that Rock, don't you see?
