it could have been cake or it could have been fireworks but no, we're celebrating with a more long lasting material: vinyl! it's been 10 years since the release of the first dan zanes and friends cd rocket ship beach and to mark the anniversary we've made it into a record.
i think it sounds better than the cd and no one would argue that it's bigger. does your family band prefer to listen to LPs for inspiration? do you want your children to understand the beauty of a needle in the groove of a spinning platter? do you want them to experience album art the way it was meant to be experienced-big enough to actually see? if so, this one's for you.

dan and the band are in the studio right now finishing up the new 21st century all-ages social music album due out this late summer. in a few weeks, they kick off their busiest spring tour on record- are you ready for it? song and dance parties will be held all over the country as well london and middle east! please help us spread the word to family and friends. we would hate to hear of anyone missing out on the festivities. there will be special guests at most shows and as always, dan is taking song requests via twitter, facebook, email, postcard... and carrier pigeon.

MARCH 26 in garden city, ny at adelphi university, 11am.

APRIL 17 in peekskill, ny at the paramount center for the arts. 3pm.
MAY 7 back home in new york city at the metropolitan museum of art. 3pm.
MAY 14 scottsdale, az at the center for the arts. 3pm.
MAY 17-18 santa rosa, ca at the wells fargo center. 6:30pm.
and JUNE 4-5 look for us at sesame place in langhorne, pa. one of our favorite shows of the year.
